SERVPRO of Mount Clemens, New Baltimore Wants You to Know:

Cleaning and Disinfection are not the same. Both are necessary.

Cleaning removes visible dirt, dust, grime, debris, and other gunk from the surface. Our parents were right; it’s not enough to simply swipe a towel over the surface. One must give a good scrubbing. The scrubbing gets rid of most of the bacteria, viruses, and other invisible stuff we call “germs.” Notice we said “most.”

“Most” is not good enough. That’s why we go to the next step:

Disinfection kills (bam!) the remaining germs: bacteria, viruses, mold spores, whatever. We can’t leave it on the surface. Mold can provoke allergic reactions even when it’s dead (bummer, right?), so we always do a final cleaning.

If, after all these efforts, odors remain to torment you, don’t despair. We have equipment to send odors on a one-way trip to way-out-yonderville.

They won’t be back.
