Blizzard in Mount Clemens?

1/11/2022 (Permalink)

A blizzard creates zero visibility “whiteout” conditions. We restore storm damage 24-hours a day in Macomb County.

SERVPRO® of Mount Clemens, New Baltimore, has been restoring storm damage for many years in Macomb County. Mount Clemens residents may recall the Great Blizzard of 1978. On January 25, 1978, a storm that initially began as rain quickly changed to heavy snow leading to frequent whiteouts and zero visibility on January 26. The Great Blizzard of 1978 was the most extensive and one of the most severe blizzards in Michigan history. Twenty people died from heart attacks or traffic accidents caused by the blizzard. Many people were hospitalized for exposure due to losing heat and power in their homes. An estimated 100,000 cars were abandoned on Michigan highways.

We typically arrive onsite within four hours of your call. Upon arrival, we will tarp and board up any area exposed to the elements to minimize the potential for secondary damage and immediately begin the cleanup and restoration process. We will contact your insurance adjuster, and we can help with the insurance paperwork and process.
